What I actually mean when I talk about Healing

I have found that when something I practice daily becomes routine or familiar, it can be easy for me to forget what it looks like from an outside perspective.

I refer to the term healing quite a bit. As I was having my morning coffee yesterday, I started to think about how the definition of this word has changed since I first starting helping people with Homeopathy.

What does it really mean when I say that Homeopathy and Flower Essences help us heal deeply? What might that look like?

I started using Homeopathy myself in 2012 under the care of a practitioner and at that time, it was difficult to put into words what I was experiencing. I was aware that a shift was happening. But because it felt so natural and so spontaneous, it was difficult to describe it other than “I can feel myself changing.”

What I have come to find from using Homeopathy and Flower Essences for the past fourteen years is that they create shifts that are both gentle and potent.

The first thing I notice when I take a Flower Essence or Homeopathic remedy is something I like to refer to as nuance. Sometimes these nuances are as potent as epiphanies or revelations. As if suddenly, I am seeing a situation, a relationship, and most often, myself, in a different way.

It is as if the remedy is shedding light on something that needs to be addressed. A small tear in the fabric that veils my vision of the world.

Typically, what follows this new awareness is emotional expression and release. Sometimes it’s tears, sometimes anger is expressed. At times I have finally seen clearly a limiting belief or fear that is holding me back. I have come to know this as the remedy bringing to consciousness that which needs to shift in order for me to grow or for my suffering to resolve itself. The emotional release that follows is my body processing this new information, a necessary step in the healing process.

Homeopathy and Flower Essences work on the energetic field. They make contact with our life force, creating these subtle vibrational changes that in turn transmute our emotional and mental processes, and then ripple out to the material realm — our physical symptoms. I usually feel the shift in my mental-emotional experience before any physical sensations or symptoms begin to move. This is because the physical or material plane is a much denser energy and takes longer to change shape.

Nature — Change and Healing are Synonymous

We as humans are part of the natural world. If you look around, you may be able to see yourself in a tree, in your dog, in water, in air, the earth, or fire. One of the laws of nature is that it is in a constant state of flux. We have seasons and weather patterns that affect the growth of plants and animals. Those plants and animals go through their own stages of birth, growth, change, and eventually death. Nature knows that change is growth and that to grow is to live.

Which brings me to this — that which is part of nature that does not change becomes stagnant, that which becomes stagnant becomes “dis-eased.”

In order for us to remain healthy, balanced and vital, the very nature of living requires that we shift with it. We expand and contract in response to it. We hold boundaries when our sense of self needs defending, we flow when life requires we loosen our grip on things out of our control. We move with life.

Sometimes, due to traumas, difficult circumstances, suffering, pain, we get a little stuck — this is all part of the human experience. We develop patterns that keep us responding to life circumstances in this same way over and over again. Usually due to fear of repeating a painful circumstance. Our worldview is shaped by a situation that happened once or was sometimes repeated and thus our response to this pattern repeats. Repeating patterns create stagnancy and lack nuance or change. Usually, they are not so easy to spot as we see them as part of who we are, it is often when they become physical that we notice something is not quite right.

In order to move out of this state of pattern or stagnancy, the cycle itself first needs to be brought to consciousness.

This is where these energetic medicines support us so beautifully.

Homeopathic remedies and Flower Essences do an incredible job of shifting our perspective ever so gently. Like Spirit herself placing her hands on the sides of your face and whispering, “let’s try looking at it this way…” It is natural and subtle, but that change is often felt powerfully. Sometimes it feels like a portal has opened and we are finally able to move through a cycle and into a new space. This process helps us release what has kept us held back and helps move us toward our limitlessness, our incredible capacity, and aligned purpose. The potential transformative power of these remedies and essences continue to act especially when we work with them over time.

I cannot fully detail what it will be like for you when you begin this journey, it’s an individual one. But I can tell you that I have watched these remedies change lives. I have seen Homeopathy transform stuck pain into growth. I have bore witness to its power to alchemize stagnancy into freedom. And over time I have seen its ability to vitalize humans to the point where the physical body actually changes. Energetic medicine is a powerful catalyst to facilitate healthy change in all life forms, and when we give it the space to move us, it helps us meet our human experience with ease. What a beautiful thing to have medicine that compliments our growth and encourages us to expand into our greatest capacity.
